Helpful Hints Before Your First Class:
What to wear - work out bottoms that fall below the knee (due to the movements and floor work, shorts are not suitable), close fitting work out top, socks with grips optional or bare feet. Clothing should be light weight, breathable and comfortable and not too loose so the instructor can view your form and technique.
What to bring - a yoga mat, water and a pair of 2-3 pound hand weights.
Don't be shy - feel free to ask questions as many of the movements can be unfamiliar at first. Your instructor can help you get the most out of your first class.
Show up early if you can - there will be paperwork to sign, you may want to talk to other participants and familiarize yourself with the class routine.
Have fun!! - Work at your own pace - remember everyone started at the beginning..!

The bootybarre® program - This unique, energetic and fun workout fuses fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. The bootybarre® method is the perfect combination of strength and flexibility, with added cardio to burn fat fast! It truly is "The Hottest barre Workout in the World". This 60 minute program consists of an invigorating warm up to get your heart rate elevated, followed by an upper body conditioning section using light weights and repetitions to develop sculpted muscles, then onto the barre for a full body workout incorporating ballet based exercises and cardio intervals for maximum fat burning potential. The final two sections involve core strength which focuses on creating lean abdominal muscles and a final flexibility section designed to stretch out all of the muscle groups and maintain that long, lean dancer's physique.
